NextGen Youth

Our mission with the teens is to create transformative encounters with God through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. We want to see our teens trained to be bold, generous, and compassionate so that they become passionate followers of Jesus Christ who positively impact our region and world as they continue to grow and mature into the people God has created them to be.

If you are interested in having your Middle School student visit one of our NextGen gatherings, here are a couple of things you may want to know.

First, our Middle School Youth (6th – 8th grade) meet on Thursday Nights from 6 – 7:30pm. We ask that when you bring your middle schooler that you drop them off at the stairs that lead to the basement, unless noted otherwise. This drop-off spot will be marked by a large GCF Youth flag. When youth group is over, you may pick your middle schooler up at that same spot. When your middle schooler arrives, they will be greeted by some of our leaders and expected to sign in. Our typical format for ministry includes games, activities, worship, lessons, small group discussions, and ministry times. We also on occasion have other events away from the church. When these events happen, regular participants will be notified.

If you are interested in having your High School student visit one of our NextGen gatherings, here are a couple of things you may want to know.

First, our Sr. High Youth (9th – 12th grade) meet on Saturday evenings immediately following our regular church service, typically from about 7:45pm – 9:15pm. When the church service ends, your high school student can go down the left stairwell (as you are walking out of the sanctuary). Our Sr. High students will gather downstairs. We do share a space with the NextGen Children’s Ministry. They meet during the worship service, so they are wrapping up and cleaning up when our students arrive. Sometimes our Sr. High will help the Children’s Ministry leaders to clean up their area in preparation of our own gathering. Once we start, our typical format for ministry includes games, activities, worship, lessons, small group discussions, and ministry times. We also on occasion have other events away from the church. When these events happen, regular participants will be notified.
